For the last few weeks we've been listening and learning from the Magnetic Fields '69 Love Songs'.
"I'm Crazy for you, but not that crazy"...is that like "I would do anything for love but I won't do that"? Is the "that" in question "Wear my sunglasses at night" or "...be watching you".
Is every love song about the same thing? Infatuation leading to passionate romps in the wigwam followed by a restraining order? I have no wisdom...
What I have learned is that neither Eva nor I can sing like Stephen Merritt, I really like playing 4 handed piano and we've all become human synths.
I think that Sarah Maske said it best when she said, "respect the synth." So go to her for your wisdom needs.
